Interface to program the built in Nagra 2 chips on cardless receivers.

DP311 Receiver Programming:

MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RECEIVER PLUGGED IN WHILE PROGRAMMING IT OR YOU WILL KILL IT OFF!!!

Open the receiver and you will find a plugged in ISO interface inside. Use your existing ISO or Dishnet Programmer or get one from us. Make sure the pads on the interface cards are the right way around, some ISO ROM programmers want them facing down some facing up.

Open Nagra2 Edit and click reset card to make sure you are hooked up right. You should see an ATR and stuff as below. If you get reset failed chances are your hookup is not good.

Click read card and read the whole virgin EEPROM of your card. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU SAVE THIS VIRGIN IMAGE, preferably with a descriptive name and on several disks.

Click Tools/Apply patch

Click Apply patch

Start your favorite text editor and open the latest Penga or other blocker of your choice. In it find the line that sets the backdoor password and edit it to a HEX number of your choice (0-F)

Click Tools/Apply patch again and this time copy and paste this whole Blocker code into the patch window

Click Apply patch

Now save this newly patched BIN file as something like "BIN with tiers and blocker.bn102

Now write this BIN to your card

Once written the blocker will prevent you from reading the card and hopefully from the providers to do nasty things to it. Test that the blocker has been written properly by trying to read the card, it should error out.

This is it. Unplug the ISO interface from the receiver, close the lid and connect to your satellite cable and plug the receiver in. After running a check switch (Menu-6-1-1-Check Switch-Test then Cancel out with your remote) you should get picture.

If you have to reprogram in the future for any reason you need to remove the blocker first.
